60 526 “EDGE LANDSCAPE”, Innovative Park System in the contemporary cities
Case study: Romsås –Groruddalen, greater Oslo located at the edge of the forest of Lillomarka
The task will be to work on anticipatory landscapes to allow restoration of the land and future housing expansion that mitigate the effects of climate change, increase biodiversity, and improve urban microclimates, while rendering individual sites and highlighting their local specificities. By taking advantage of the existing qualities, a thorough reading and understanding of the physical
space, morphology, ecology, and local community’s role. The design of landscape spaces and green infrastructures will provide a new identity to this typical kind of suburban district. Today the open spaces are generous, the forest close to the buildings but the open space is not clearly defined to whom it belongs to or what is its function.
